📋 Scanning Tips for Dense QR Codes:
- Distance: Hold 6-10 inches away for dense QR codes
- Lighting: Use bright, even lighting (avoid shadows)
- Steadiness: Keep very steady for 2-3 seconds
- Position: Hold phone flat and parallel to the QR code (not tilted)
- Fill Frame: QR code should fill most of the camera view
⚙️ Camera Access Issues?
- Browser Settings Control Camera: This is a web app - camera permissions are managed by your browser, not the app
- Check Address Bar: Look for camera/lock icon and ensure camera is set to "Allow"
- Try Refreshing: After changing settings, refresh the page completely
- Try Different Browser: If issues persist, try Chrome, Firefox, or Safari
- HTTPS Required: Make sure the page URL starts with "https://" (secure connection)
- Restart Browser: Close and reopen your browser app completely
⚠️ IMPORTANT: File Upload Guidelines
- Single Scan Mode Only: File attachments only work in Single Scan mode (not available in Batch mode)
- File Size Matters: Larger files = slower sending. Keep files under 2MB for best results
- Network Required: Files are sent immediately to webhook - ensure stable internet connection
- No Local Storage: Files are NOT stored on device - they're converted and sent directly to your webhook
- Webhook Limits: Your webhook endpoint must accept the file size you're sending (check your server limits)
- Base64 Encoding: Files are converted to Base64 format, which increases size by ~33%
- 5MB Maximum: While 5MB is available, files over 2MB may timeout or fail depending on network/webhook
- Recommended: Use 1-2MB limit for images, compress photos before uploading if needed
💡 Pro Tips:
- Take photos at lower resolution to reduce file size
- Use image compression apps before uploading
- Test with small files first to verify your webhook accepts them
- On slow networks, stick to 500KB-1MB files
